What a Week!

These days I feel like the prime minister in Harry Potter when he says “what a week, what a week!” Most of the things he’s referring to are results of his own actions or inactions, and so it is for me. Let’s have a brief look!

We’ll start a bit early because last Saturday the night sky put on a spectacular northern lights dance show. The window in the picture is our kitchen window and there isn’t too much light pollution where we live on the hillside. I’ve never seen pink aurora before and this was a very special experience to me.

Our cat, Popsi, usually takes my seat whenever I get up. I was finishing up a dress I’d sewn for an upcoming trip to Turkey but it proved a bit challenging as I’m too soft hearted and didn’t make him move so we ended sharing the seat instead. And I finished the dress but forgot to take any pictures.

Apart from working, I study for my masters degree so three times every semester I travel to either Bergen or Stord for study groups. On Monday I went to Stord and worked together with other art students on a performance assignment that’s due in December and will be showcased then.

Here we are working on a performance inspired by the contemporary dancer Isabel Duncan and writer/playwriter Anton Chekhov.

I stayed in this beautiful fairytale house together with some of the other music students. It was a peaceful break from the hectic and intense production days.

After a few days there it was time to travel back home to Alver, and to work and normal life for now and I forgot to take any pictures of that but maybe another time ❤
