It’s Finally ꕥ JUNE ꕥ

1st of June and life is as always a bit much, but still I’m lucky and it’s beautiful.

I’ve been outside helping the neighbours paint their house all day and my body is tired yet my mind feels clear and centered. Maybe this is how most days are supposed to feel? To use the body to experience this world, to exercise and to push the physical and psychological boundaries of the mind, and also to try and help both myself and others and make our time here better.

June is my favourite month and I love this time of year because of many things. Here are some of them:

ꕥ The summer light on sixty degrees north. Late sunsets, night skies that never gets dark, and sunrise at night.

ꕥ Swimming in the ocean with seaweeds, sand and shells. I’m so excited for this!

ꕥ Salt on the skin as I sunbathe on the rocks by the sea after having pushed myself to go for a quick swim in our cold fjord.

ꕥ Nature’s in full bloom with the birds and their lively nests, the green wavy trees and the golden hour reflected in a field of high grass. We have tawny owls living close to our house now, I’ve named them Hedwig and Pig, and it’s incredible to watch them. Nature in June is magic!

ꕥ Cycling to work nearly every day makes me feel incredibly grateful.

ꕥ The album is nearly almost done and I keep daydreaming of what will happen next and what I want with to communicate with it.

ꕥ My birthday is in June. I’m not always comfortable with the number I’m given in years, though that’s society, I know, but I do love to celebrate another trip around the sun and to pause for a moment to look at my life and the people I love.

Writing makes time slow down and makes me see the small things clearer. Though I always forget about time and suddenly it’s a lot more then I thought it was. Speak soon xx
