Friday I went to my friends studio for a few hours and we recorded the lead track for the last song on the album. All details sorted and now he’s ready to record the final guitar track of the last song on the album. The newest one. We’re nearly there.
When he’d recorded the lead track we recorded the vocal too just to have the song together. No pressure just playful singing and trusting that it’s alright for now. It felt like a good vocal take. It was intense and quiet and I sang in the present moment with light and air.
Afterwards it felt like a chapter had ended. Everything was a little bit clearer, even the air and the sounds. No more new songs to start working on for this album. Now it’s the details, the remaining takes and probably more, all towards the album as a whole. Seeing it as a whole. The album about my 20’s with vocals, guitars, bass and sonic flourishes too.
